I am on the verge of possibly going homeless. I might choose to reside in a shelter rather than dealing with my mother, because she causes me and my child health issues. Should I leave? I don't have anywhere else to go but this has been an ongoing thing.

Go to your local Department of Social Services and explain the situation. They usually are able to help. If they cannot, they should be able to point you in the areas in your County that will. Good luck and keep us posted!
