THE SAFTEY OF ELVITEGRAVIR/COBICISTAT/EMTRICITABINE/TENOFOVIR (STRIBILD) DURING PREGNANCY OR BREASTFEEDING

 

THIS MEDICATION MAY CAUSE HARM TO YOUR BABY:

Although human data is limited, cobicistat, elvitegravir, emtricitabine, and tenofovir combination therapy is not associated with birth defects and can prevent viral transmission of HIV to the developing baby. This medication should only be used for pregnant women who have clear indications for antiretroviral therapy. Breastfeeding is generally not recommended in HIV positive women.
