I am wondering if my sister's big boy needs a little rice cereal in his formula. He spits up a lot and does not sleep much at night.
What age did you begin feeding your baby rice cereals and purees?

How old is the boy? Spitting up sounds and not being able to sleep at night sounds like he could be having reflux and adding rice cereal will not help. Your sister should reach out to the pediatrician, maybe the baby needs some antacids
Some other helpful tips:
- burping him every 2oz
- keep him upright after his feeding for at least 30 minutes
- sleeping on a little bit of an incline, in a safe way of course
I concur with what sissy posted, sounds like baby might have GERD and can use some antacids!
Contact your Ped. We never did rice cereal or purees. We started regular food at 6 months for BLW.
No rice cereals, high arsenic levels, I agree with others, contact the pediatrician and see what they say.
We introduced rice and oatmeal cereal at 10-12 weeks. We only did a couple teaspoons at first and then increased as our baby showed signs of needing more.
