My bff is throwing my baby shower and obviously I'm a bit in the know as this is my second. We wanted to do some fun games, and something to get the dads involved as this is a family event. Any new games anyone has tried? We have the usual..baby bingo, candy bar diaper etc.

I love the baby diaper game Ive played at my last 2 showers. You get like 5 different candy bars and heat them up on the diaper for about a minute, then you pass them around and let the ladies guess what they think it is and whoever gets all 5 right wins a prize.

Reagan posted this 18 November 2018

I've played that game too and it's really fun and funny!!

The Don't say Baby game

This is a game for mums but everybody can play. You give diaper a pin to each of your guests to wear on his/her shirt and tell them not to say the word Baby for the duration of the shower. Anyone who catches another person say the word collects the person's pin and the person with the most pins at the end of the game wins a gift. It's a nice game

Try Pinterest for ideas! Etsy also has game packs already made up that are easy! I think its a good idea to get the guys involved!

We didn't do any baby shower games, because honestly I hate them lol. We did do a fun "whats in your purse" game...You make a checklist and certain items are worth certain points-then whoever has the most points wins! Everyone thought it was really fun

I love this game, the name is

Mommy and Daddy's Secrets

(You can always adjust the game to fit a shower just for the girls). Ask the mom and dad for answers to twenty questions-make sure to do this with the significant other nowhere in sight! Some great questions include, "Where were you when you heard the news?" "Do you want a girl or boy?" and "If you could have your way, what would you want your child to be when he or she grows up?" After you quiz each and record their answers, bring both into the room and put the future parents on the hot spot one at a time. Ask each to guess the answer their partner gave to each question-before polling the audience to see who thinks the answer is correct. Everyone's a winner with this lively game!

Bobbing for Nipples, is my favorite because this suggestive game is the hands-down favorite among males at coed baby showers. Set up a row of large buckets of water and drop some baby bottle nipples into each. Each guest must get down on his or her knees-hands behind backs-and bob for as many nipples as they can grab in two minutes. When the buzzer goes off, the person with the most nipples wins.

I saw one that was funny where you had to hold something between your legs and drop it in a basket. It looks hilarious.  Another Idea for a shower that isn't a game is one of my friends made CD's for her guests with all songs about baby's or with the word baby in the title of the song.  I still have hers and it is pretty cool.

You could let people guess how big you are, measuring with toilet paper or string
Have a predictions board, where you ask ?s like where do they think you'll be when you go into labor, how far along you'll be, etc and let everyone write down their answers to see if anyone guesses right. (More of a keepsake than game.)
Baby food tasting

Paper games like bingo, wordsearch, crosswords, nursery rhyme match

We always do the "Price is Right" game. The last shower put a spin on it though and actually had the items in a diaper bag which was a gift to mom. Every time she pulled out an item we had to guess the price. I like this version better because you could actually see the brand name of the item and have a better guess that way. Also, if you do this and bingo, the guests can use the items from the diaper bag for the bingo card as well.

What about the 'drink up baby' game where you fill up a beverage of your choice in baby feeding bottles and ask your guests to suck the contents dry. The first to empty his/her bottle wins a gift

Andrea posted this 14 February 2019

This sounds fun though would love to try it out

There's also this game tho, where you get different flavours of baby food are remove their labels. You tell your guests to guess the baby food names and see who has the keenest taste buds

I also don't like games, don't have the time and energy to organise these things, but I won't want to be a killjoy here. Enjoy your baby shower

We did โ€œDonโ€™t say ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿผ, ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿผ bingo, ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿผ words unscramble. Pintrest is the best!

the one where the women are blind folded and try to feed the guys baby food, the baby food taste test , chugging beer/ anything out of a baby bottle contest, the measuring the moms belly with string or ribbon game (i didn't play this one because i thought i was huge and didn't want people guessing this ha) , and the funniest one that I've seen but haven't done is when two people put the balloon behind one person and the other persons thrust their hips into their butt area where the balloon is to pop it

This one was a hit at my shower: Grab an ice cube tray, and freeze these plastic babies inside each cube. Place one cube in each guest's drink (all the better if it's spiked), and whoever's baby breaks free from the ice first is the winner.

Bridget posted this 04 May 2019

I like guessing how big you are that was fun for mine! There are lots of ideas on Pinterest though some really good ones

Lisa posted this 04 May 2019

I like the one where you canโ€™t say โ€œbabyโ€ with either a safety pin or a necklace and have to give it up if someone catches you saying it.

Amy posted this 08 May 2019

Everyone cuts a string  or ribbon the size they think your belly is...closest wins!

We are just having a BBQ with no games ๐Ÿ˜Š  I have never liked the games and always hated playing them and I think it's just not super fun. We are just having a big party with lots of food and friends to celebrate. I don't think people should feel forced into the whole game thing, so nobody should feel bad if they don't have games at their shower. To each their own!

Cardi posted this 28 August 2019

We did the freeze the plastic baby in the cup- whoever delivered first won a prize! it was fun and cute.

Melissa posted this 30 August 2019

This has been a hilarious big hit at a couple of showers I've been to.... porn vs labor lol https://www.etsy.com/market/labor_or_porn

Ana posted this 31 August 2019

I like the one where one person feeds the other person while they are blind folded (the feeder is blind folded). That's always fun. I love the one where you get a banner and you have a limited time to wrap your partner and make it look like a diaper. Hilarious times!

This isn't a game, but I really loved this about my baby shower.  Instead of the guests bringing a card, they gave a book with a personalized message in the front cover.  I love it because I think of these people every time I read their book!  And it is a great way to start building your kid's library!

Hazel posted this 18 October 2019

We did one where someone created a playlist of songs with the word "baby" in them, and we divided into teams. We had to see which team could name more of the songs. It was fun.

Renee posted this 29 October 2019

Spin a baby bottle. The people at each end give some advice about childrearing or some encouraging words. You'd be surprised all the laughter and wisdom that is shared from this game.

Elizabeth posted this 31 October 2019

We played a game that you have a pillowcase full of baby related items (pacifier, comb, syringe, etc.) and you have to guess all the items by touch.

Hazel posted this 31 October 2019

If you are trying to involve the dad and other men, perhaps you could play the game where there is a list of quotes or things from Mommy and Daddy, and guests have to decide which person said or did that thing.  For example, "I am enjoying pregnancy" or "I hope the baby looks like me"

Marilyn posted this 05 November 2019

Just one word of advice for everyone doing a shower... don't do TOO many games.  I was recently at a shower and they played so many games that people started leaving and not caring who won or not.  I mean there was like 10 games in a row. It was exhausting!!! 2-3 games is plenty!

Jay posted this 05 November 2019

I played a game where you melt candy bars in diapers and get the guests to taste them blindfolded and guess. It got some laughs.

N posted this 05 November 2019

There's a funny one when you freeze ice cubes with miniature babies in them, and the guest suck on them until they reach the ice cube. Kind of weird but people get into it and it's funny.

Danielle posted this 07 November 2019

We love BINGO, or guess the mom's belly with toilet paper.  I also really liked where they did a questionnaire of who did they think would do this.. One of the questions was who will be the screaming one in the delivery room- and they held up the husband or wife show. Haha it was funny and good laughs.

Sarah posted this 07 November 2019

I love the diaper and candy bar game too!  I feel like that is a great game for couples.  Another one is to have baby dolls and time everyone to see who can put a diaper on and dress the baby the fastest while being blindfolded!

Mar posted this 08 November 2019

Blindfolding and making people taste and guess baby foods from jars!

Susan posted this 11 November 2019

The game that was the biggest hit at my baby shower was "Beer Belly or Baby Bump".  I think my sister found it on Amazon but everyone thought it was hilarious and had so much fun with it!  And I thought it was really unique!
