I've only ever taken the pill. I'm not on anything now, we just use condoms.

Mary posted this 28 January 2019

Ive tried a bunch of different pills, IUD and now Nuvaring.. Nuva ring is my favorite and I have the least amount of side effects while using it.. I love how easy it is and how I don't have to remember to take a pill daily.

Desiree posted this 28 January 2019

I tried the depo shot and it was horrible. Now I'm not on anything, we just use protection.

This is me too.

We only use condoms.  I never liked the idea of a unnatural substance controlling and changing the hormones in my body.  It just doesn't seem right to me.

Bethanie posted this 07 February 2019

I heard the depo makes you gain wait and causes depression. Is it true?

I tried the depo shot and I’twas horrible. Now I'm not on anything, we just use protection.

Sara posted this 12 February 2019

I have tried a few different types.  The pill, The shot, and also the ring.  Honestly I really liked the ring the best easy to use and long lasting so I don't have to worry about it.  Very comfortable. The shot made me gain a lot of weight.

Carol posted this 13 February 2019

We use condom or withdrawal technique when there is no condom available.

Salley posted this 13 February 2019

Condom, and I will keep using it because it has never let me down

Bojan posted this 13 February 2019

Emergency contraception and condom

Condom

Jessica posted this 13 February 2019

I tried the depo and I was miserable on it. I had a lot of weight gain. We switched to just using condoms until we were ready to conceive.

Pills

Julie posted this 13 February 2019

I would tack your cycle to know when you are most fertile but also have a backup plan of condoms

Zoe posted this 03 March 2019

I have done the depo shot, nuva ring and the pill. They were all the "right" choice for birth control for me during that time. I used the depo when I was young because I could never remember to take the pill. I got crazy mood swings and was hyper emotional - but who knows! It could have just been because I was a teenager and not because of the shot. ha ha. I used the Nuva ring for a while, and I really liked it but it made my sex life a little akward. It fell out a few times and my boyfriends could feel it. Not my favorite but better than the shot, less work than the pill. After I had kids I used the pill. Once I remembered to regularly take it it was AMAZING and I even ended up skipping periods so i only get it 3 times a year and I can plan when I get it so I don't end up on vacation with it. I really love it. So I guess I have been really flexible to my needs and what works best for me.

Zoe posted this 03 March 2019

Also, when I was breastfeeding I used the family planning system. I don't suggest it if you REALLY don't want to get pregnant, but we weren't trying and weren't not trying and it worked really well

Jasmine posted this 03 March 2019

I had my little one in December and got the Depo shot after my 6 week checkup. It was one of the worst decisions I have ever made! It has really made my postpartum depression so much worse and I have been bleeding since the shot. Thankfully, I am coming up on 3 months since I have had it and I will not be getting it again. Praying it rids out of my system quickly.

From there, we will just use our good ole "pull out" method which worked for us for seven years Lol

EVE posted this 04 March 2019

I have tried Loestrin but because I am getting older and it has been taking us so long to conceive I haven't been on birth control for about 5 years I would say.

ali posted this 04 March 2019

im on the mini pill now since im still nursing. before that i was on yasmin and loved it.

Lisa posted this 05 March 2019

I am currently on the nexplanon implant and HATE IT. My periods are so irregular and last weeks at a time. I am past the amount of time that they say it takes for your body to adjust and it is still horrible. I can't wait to have it removed!

Ashley posted this 07 March 2019

The mini pill has been great for me while nursing

Heather posted this 08 March 2019

I’ve only ever used the pill and the only other bc I’ve thought of using is the iud. I’ve never heard anything good about the depo shot.

Ruth posted this 08 March 2019

I loved the nuva ring but it did take awhile to get pregnant after I stopped using it.

Aly posted this 09 March 2019

While I don’t really like using birth control, I like using the pill the best because it really helps me regulate my period as well

Sierra posted this 10 March 2019

The pill- Sprintec. Helped with cramps, otherwise had no changes. I wouldn't try any other forms because that worked so well and I've heard horror stories. I've been nursing a long time so I am not on birth control now, so just condoms.

Beth posted this 11 March 2019

Nuva ring is one I like a lot.  You can stay on it without breaks and not have a period also which I loved!

Sam posted this 11 March 2019

Did pill and stopped because of weight gain; depo - hated it. Made me cranky. IUD was great because my periods were non-existent.

I tried the Nuva ring in the past and I can’t remember what I didn’t like about it. There seems to be a lot of women who prefer it over other birth control methods. I am going to do some research and maybe try the Nuva ring again

Mattea posted this 12 March 2019

Condoms, ovulation tracking app and birth control shot. The shot made me very depressed. We are going the vasectomy route ASAP before baby #3 gets here.

Stephanie posted this 17 March 2019

Tried the pill. It didn't work- I got pregnant despite taking it like clockwork. Tried the patch. It was okay. Now I have the copper IUD and I love it. Had it for 6 months, had it removed, got pregnant right away. Got it again after my youngest. Had it 2 years now and still love it! It's good for 10 years!

Jazmine posted this 18 March 2019

Condoms or pull out and I also track my cycle. Its worked well for us but maybe not someone who is extremely fertile?

Anna posted this 18 March 2019

After some time, this is how I’ve come to feel as well. So, tracking my cycle and condoms it is!

Samyra posted this 27 March 2019

I think  the pill really messed up my cycles so I will NEVER do that again. Condoms are good enough for me.

Alice posted this 05 April 2019

I'm pretty much stuck on the pill, I don't like inserting foreign objects into my body. So many scary stories about IUDs or those arm implants getting lost in the body or growing into muscle or whatnot.

Jeanette posted this 05 April 2019

The pull out method lol I don't recommend it...

I never knew the Depo shot was still around -- wow! I thought they banned that thing years ago because of all the negative side effects.

We used the rhythm method before... that's how I ended up preggers! It was really my fault, and not a fault of the method. We were being spontaneous, and I didn't have time to check the app. Oooopsss!!! Now, we just use condoms.

Does anyone use a diaphragm? I hate condoms, and have been thinking of an alternative, natural method of birth control.

Taisha posted this 4 days ago

I prefer oral contraceptives (pills). If you have side effects you can easily stop and switch. All you have to do is remember to take everyday, but I use an alarm on my phone for that.

Hannah posted this 4 days ago

Condoms, pills, the shot, and finally, an IUD. When my next one is born, I plan to go back to an IUD. It was the lowest side effect, highest efficacy, and least inconvenient for of bc I have ever used.

Alex posted this 3 days ago

I'm considering the copper IUD, although I hate the idea of anything in my body. However, I also think pills are a form of poison, sadly.

Lily posted this 3 days ago

I like the pill. I would be hesitant about the IUD as there is a lot of recent lawsuits that the copper breaks and fragments cannot be removed and can errod into the patient.
