Hello, Everyone!

This is going to be my first baby... Do you guys have any tips for my pregnancy journey? I know it won't be a cake walk, but I want to make sure I am doing everything I can to keep my baby healthy

Take it day by day and don't over think - that's all I wish I did. Remember, its the only time you'll have this special time!

Accept help whenever somebody offers! You will feel like you want to tackle everything by yourself, but you will get burned out quick. Also, try to rest whenever you can

Takes notes and write down things, I wish I did more during my pregnancy and during the early days with baby. Memories fade so quickly!

Keep snacks on hand, remember to drink water, take care of yourself, do something fun with your hubby before baby arrives, know it's okay to take naps, prepare to feel like your last month lasts a thousand years ;-)...

Take in every moment you can! Time flies. Everyday may not be perfect but they are all days that you are going to wish you could get back. Take a little time everyday to appreciate where you are and what you have.

Know that it’s okay to not be ok mama. It’s okay to cry at tone and you are awesome 😆

Trust your instincts and don't give in to mom guilt.

Yes, find your own norm for everyday.  Part of that includes what others have done and/or suggest. But try to find time for some fun when the new baby is napping. Enjoy your home, SLEEP when you can.

Trust your gut on things! Also, be conscious that you will receive SO much advice but nobody will know your child as well as you do. So, you will be the only person who will truly know what is best for your child and yourself. What works for one baby or one mother won’t necess mean it will work for you and that is completely okay!

I wish I had journaled my experience. Try to journal your experience during pregnancy and even after childbirth.

i would say don’t listen to everyone’s opinions, especially if they don’t feel right. And appreciate all the naps your baby takes in the first year, because even though you will be tired, the naps decrease from there.

I miss all my baby naps.

Be sure to drink a lot of water during the day. It will actually help with any swelling that you are experiences (ankles! Ow!). Also, make sure you are getting enough rest. I know you want everything to be perfect for when the baby comes, but that's impossible to maintain, esp after baby comes. Don't over extend yourself either!

Allow people to help! I wanted to everything by myself because I felt like I had something to prove but if people want to help you, let them. I learned that the hard way lol I overexerted my self I was a mess

Cherish the every day moments, whether it's through journaling, taking pictures, or making home movies

It's amazing the difference it can make, and sounds like it would be good to start even if wasn't really active before.

"I think one good tip is to stay active. I forgot/didn't have time to exercise for a long time, and I could definitely notice my stress levels were going up because of it. So if nothing else, try to find time to go take a walk. It helps!"

There's so many tidbits here that I really appreciate! I'm expecting my first little one and have my own fears as well. Thanks for starting this OP!

Keep yourself hydrated and well-fueled. A lot of moms forget to up their water intake and have dehydration issues - especially if dealing with morning sickness.
